VINTAGE: 2006GRAPES: 100% Garganega.
MAJOR GROWING AREA: Fondo Cereolo di Sopra, Fondo Monte Tenda. Average altitude: from 160-200 metres a.s.l.
PRODUCTION METHOD: Veronese pergola and espalier. Production: approx. 5-6 tonnes per hectare.
HARVEST: from mid-September with selection of the best grapes.
PARTIAL DRYING: from September to January on bamboo-lined racks with an average weight loss of 60%.
WINE MAKING AND AGEING: gentle pressing of the grapes in January. Slow fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats and ageing in barriques for approx. 18 months.
CHARACTERISCS OF THE WINE: golden yellow with amber highlights, and full, fresh and immediate aroma, with hints of vine buds, cherries, aniseed, honey and dried fruits. The wine is intense and sweet on the palate but in harmony with the freshness of the bouquet.
